No Sleep Till...

Remember when that ended with shouting "Brooklyn!"?

Now it ends with "Strawberry Tractor Cake".

The short one turned 3 on Wednesday. We had presents (of course) and a small cake for just the three of us on THE DAY.

The REAL party is Saturday.

The tradition is a lovely party with Z's godmothers - the illustrious (how DO you pluralize that word?) Miss Julie and Anna Nanna.

They've requested (as Z frequently does) blueberry pancakes. My specialty :-)

Can't believe how quickly these three years have passed or that we'll do this a meager 10 more times and suddenly he'll be 30. Heart-breaking and -warming at the same time.

Here's my goal - live in the moment.

Our current moment involves the ever patient Hammie who loves Z even as he's being decorated with stickers.

Makes him a less intimidating stalker of small woodland creatures.

Mice are lulled into a false sense of security by the piglet sticker and then WHAM!

Reminds me a little of Roberto Begnini's character in "Down By Law" demonstrating his Mothers approach with the rabbits.

I'm a horrible uncle. I have had Z's present in my truck for the last week, but haven't mailed it yet. Maracas, tamborine, cymbals, a triangle, and a couple other musical things. Hopefully I can get this stuff mailed out to you in the next couple of days.

Happy Birthday to Z!!

Hey how did your bread turn out that you made? Can you tell me more about the thing you cooked it in? I've been eyeing one for a long time.

so i am wondering how did the cake turn out? do we get to see it? that is a good idea...sticker kitty! the only problem is unlike a sticker book, those furry stickers can't be reused without some serious glue application.

Ah, my shortest one just turned 3 in December. I don't even want to think about that "he'll do this a meager 10 more times..." statement! No, no - it's too soon!

And really, stickers can make anyone look innocent.

Package sent. I know it sounds horrible, but Friday afternoon you will be visited by the UPS guy. In his hands will be a package (which couldn't be wrapped as it barely fit inside the UPS box). In that box are glorious noisemakers of the musical variety. Enjoy!
