You'd think I lived in a swamp with all the time I've spent frogging recently.
Alas no. Simply struggling with the 10% toque.
Luckily we didn't agree on a time frame.
Did make another little garter scarf. Totally heart this bad boy. Took my inspiration from those skinny knit ties guys wore when I was in high school. Dating myself, I know. :-)
Quite springy and soft.
And yes, I know my shirt's dirty.
The yarn was some of my handspun. So satisfying to take it from soup to nuts.
And speaking of spinning. A little Amuse Bouche from Hello Yarn. I enrolled in her Fiber of the Month club and wanted a little something as an appetizer.
Total heaven!
Two bobbins of singles are spun and I hope to ply tomorrow.
Seriously, I'm like a chipmunk who made it into the house. Never going back to the wild now that I know luxury like this!
Planning to make a little Right Triangle shawl/scarf/wrap thingy.
That's the technical term.
Old Fashioned Gingerbread from Laurie Colwin's More Home Cooking. Yummy with dried currants. It's been so cool here we needed a warming and fortifying snack!

That is a great little scarf!
Cute scarf! I lived through those same years.
What a wonderful scarf (I too, remember those skinny ties!) And the gingerbread? Drool!
I love seeing all your spinning and knitting! The gingerbread looks yum too....I've never had it before!
Ah yes, the weather is cold - I too need sweet treats!
I pointed out a knit tie to hubby the other week - you should've seen the look on his face!! Your scarf is very cute.
It's been cool here too! Makes me want to start making soup and baked squash. Alas, it'll be 90 by the weekend, though, so summer is still in full swing.
Nice scarf!
Ergh, I am so jealous of your weather! It's been 100 degrees here forever... though the payoff comes in a gorgeous October and November.
Also loving the skinny scarf!
i love how you always find little projects for your handspun! i just joined the spunky eclectic fiber club and i'm totally excited.
Tasha a great big THANK YOU for my vacation to Minnesota. I was really needing a vacation and you came to the rescue. I love the yarn I have already thought of 10 different ways to use it. Plus all the other goodies, the soup mix, the bath salts and the chocolaaatttteeee.....oh sorry I drifted off in a chocolate high. Thanks again for being so sweet and I hope your vacation is as wonderful as mine.
I must admit to being a bit jealous of your cool weather, its been 98 to 102 for the past few days, ick. So hard to think of knitting when I'm so sweaty.
Take care
love the handspun yarn /gingerbread cake combo--how cozy!
Oh - I totally remember those ties! Your scarf is far cuter!
How nice to be able to knit your own spun fibers. The scarf looks great on you.
What a cute little scarf and great job on that spinning! You are getting so good so quickly!
